My iPhone Story ( or How I Became an iPhone Snob )

Like a lot of people I was eagerly awaiting Apple’s announcement for the iPhone 5. My contract was expiring and I was ready to part ways with the Droid X that I was once madly in love with.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve forgotten all about my old Droid and only have eyes for my iPhone 5. I take advantage of every opportunity to bring it up during casual conversation.

When someone tries to break the awkward silence on the elevator by commenting on the weather, I pull out my iPhone and give them the latest temperature update.

Well today at work I was in a meeting and the person who was sitting across from me pulled out their iPhone. At first I was like OMG! this person is so rad and I was about to start up a conversation with her about her phone. Then I realized the headphone jack was on the top, not the bottom.

Ew! iPhone 4S. That is so last summer.

the upside down show

That moment when you realize the kids have been in bed for over 30 minutes, and you have been watching Nick Jr. alone.

So been there and not with something moderately acceptable like Yo Gabba Gabba. No, it’s always The Upside Down Show. This show makes me sad for Australia. Is this really the best thing they’ve come up with since Skippy the Bush Kangaroo? Then again I’m the one who can’t stop watching. Well played, Aussies.

last night

Last night while eating dinner I turned to my wife and said “I think I’m going to start a blog.”

She replied “You’d better not. You’d better not!”
